Building a Collection
We realise that many of our customers are expert in their fields of collection
and know precisely the books that they are looking for. We also recognise, however,
that some clients are keen to build up their own personal libraries, but perhaps
do not know quite what they are looking for and in which directions to turn to
develop their collections.
We are more than happy to offer advice on building up collections, or indeed
supplying complete libraries. Feel free to contact us to discuss your wants or
plans.
Buying at Auction
We monitor book and print sales throughout the world’s auction houses in
our specialist fields. We are always ready to act as agents for our clients at
sales, for which we charge a small commission based fee. If there are particular
items which you would like to acquire, do let us know and we can inform you as
and when such material might come up in the auction rooms.
Bindings and repairs
As well as selling finely bound volumes we are able to advise on, and undertake,
binding commissions. We are also willing to execute repairs and restoration to
books and prints. We have a wide selection of craftsmen whom we use. Estimates
for work can be supplied on request without charge.
